Ryker's new "big boy" bed.

So we thought we would try to transition Ryker into a "big boy" bed. We have kept him in his crib up until now. Ryker has NEVER taken a nap in a bed, EVER, since he was a baby. He would only sleep in his crib. He would laugh like it was a big joke if we tried to get him to take a nap in a bed. So this last week I let him try to take naps with me in my bed to see how he would do. He did ok. So, next step. We have an actual toddler bed for him, but decided to first convert his crib into a bed to see how he liked it and did with it before we set up his toddler bed. He has only had two naps and one night in it, but has done PERFECT! When he woke up at 10:00 this morning, he didn't even get out of bed, he just waited in his bed and talked to himself until I went and got him. AMAZING! But, I know that he probably won't keep that up forever, once he starts getting more comfortable with it and used to it, I'm sure he'll become more adventurous and daring and start climbing out of it during naps and probably will start waking up at 7 am and coming into my room to wake me up. But here's to hoping that he will continue to stay in his bed like he did this morning! We love you Ryker! You are such a "BIG BOY!".
