On Thursday last week Russ had his first day off in two weeks, so we decided to go to Salt Lake. I wanted to go to the Childrens Museum with the kids, since I remember loving it so much as a kid. While I was looking the info up online about it, I saw that it moved to the Gateway, and was renamed the Discovery Gateway in 2006..oops, I'm a little behind. The kids had a BLAST!! Here are some pictures of the day..

They had an awesome place that you could put these balls in all sorts of tubes and holes and etc. It was the first thing you come to at the museum, and we didn't think we'd ever get the kids to move on.
Ryker loved the water contraptions the most.
Fill 'er up!
Beep! Beep!
More water play.
Ryker was excited when he first saw the helicopter, but when we reached it, it was making sounds like it was going to take off and he wasn't too sure about that. Then we finally got him to go in it with dad, but other kids kept pushing the "takeoff" noise button, and Ryker got a bit nervous, he kept say, "Turn that off!", and then he wanted out. :)
And last but not least...
We walked around the Gateway for awhile after the museum. For some random reason we decided to go into Dick's Sporting Goods. While we were in there, who did we see? None other than Jazz player Mehmet Okur, "money man", Memo...Anywho, as we walked passed each other russ whispered into Ryker's ear to say "Go Memo"...and he did, really loud! Well Memo liked that and smiled and touched Ryker on the arm and said, "Hey buddy!"...then Memo briefly paused looking at us and smiling, and I think I could have asked him for a picture, but I DIDN"T. I didn't want to bug him on his outing with his wife...Anywho...that was cool, and I wish I had a picture! :( Now when we talk about it with Ryker, Ryker always says, "And, and he touched my arm!"...funny kid.
What a fun day off to play as a family!
