So, awhile ago we were shopping at Target and I saw a "Mr. Mischief" shirt that I wanted to get Ryker. Well, I knew I knew "Mr. Mischief" from somewhere but couldn't figure it out, Russ had no idea and said he hadn't ever seen that character (or any like him) before. So yesterday I was browsing Gap.com and they now sell the "Mr. Mischief" shirt...so since I was already at the computer I decided to look it up. Come to find out, they are books...but I don't necessarily remember reading these books when I was little, but I still recognize the characters all these years later. Come to find out Mr. Men (the book series name) is also a show on the Cartoon Network now I guess. Anyway, long story short-I bought 13 books on Amazon.com/Borders, and they will hopefully be here sometime next week! I can't wait to read them to Ryker! Ok, and I partially bought them for me too. I also buy Ryker the "Little Critters" books too because I loved them as a kid. I hope one day to own them all. Russ laughs at me for trying to "re-live" my childhood. Thats the point of having kids, right? :)

Monday we were able to go to Hogle Zoo and have some fun. I say "some" fun, because Ryker wasn't the happiest kid that day. He was also more interested in pointing out all the planes in the sky and all the "fans" (or things he thinks are fans) on/in all the buildings, than he was about seeing any animals (this isn't normal for an almost 3 year old is it?!?!). When we first got to the zoo it was lunch time, so we went to grab some grub, and Ryker wouldn't eat because he was ENTHRALLED with the Seagulls that were trying to eat lunch also. I felt a blog coming on at that moment. Ryker's most enjoyed animal at the zoo that day, a Seagull. If I would have known that beforehand, we could have just gone and sat in the Wal-Mart parking lot!

Leopard's feeding time, pretty cool...Ryker could have cared less..he was busy watching another girl talk to her mom...??

Train ride on our way out...Ryker is OBSESSED with trains...Normally.. but he was so tired and hot by this point that he threw a tantrum before we got on, didn't like it during much and wanted to get off, and then threw another tantrum when we got off and said he wanted to go on the train again. AHHHGGG! Luckily it was a slow day for traffic at the zoo, and we didn't have to wait in any lines, or push through crowds, otherwise it would have been a complete bust altogether. Hopefully Ryker will start to enjoy things like this more soon, cause I can't understand how a 2 year old doesn't LOVE things like this.

Sunday we were at my parents house in South Jordan, and had lots of fun hanging out in the back yard. We played "Pickle" (as I call it), otherwise known as "hot box" to people like my husband (wink, wink Russ). We also played some Croquet. And Ryker had lots of fun with the water bottle. Here are the random pictures...There are a lot...you have been warned.

My brother Jeff and Russ. Russ is runnin' the bases and he's gettin' tired!

Russ...Tired.

Ryker drinking from the squirt bottle. It was a HOT day.

Grandmas bushes apparently needed watering...

Ryker started chasing his cousin Emily around the yard to try and squirt her, it was SOO cute! I think he had dropped the squirt bottle in this picture tho.

My sister Alisha and her baby girl Valerie. They are both so pretty!

Ryker took all the balls out of the "ball box" and put them on the grass.

Russ lining up for the perfect shot!

Kate thoroughly enjoying her supper in her grandpas arms.

Emily, McKenzie, and Ryker swinging. I wish we got to see these cousins more often than we do so Ryker could get to know them better! He had a lot of fun!

Heather's Reception

This last weekend my sister Heather had her wedding reception down in Centerville. She got married six months ago with no one present (Vegas :)), so they thought they'd finally throw a reception so everyone could celebrate with them. She looked so beautiful! She is 3 months pregnant, and in all the pictures we took of just her and I, I am the one that looks pregnant, so I won't be posting any of those, YIKES! (note to self: sugar is not your friend) No, but it was a really fun time, and a special *thanks* to Russ for chasing Ryker around the yard for two hours in the hot hot sun so I could talk with my sister and other family! Your the best!

The bride!

I think Heather looks so cute in this picture, I love it.

Russ retreiving Ryker from the neighboring yard, for the tenthzillionth time...

Ryker wearing his uncle Jer's sunglasses and looking like a STUD!

The smile that brightens my day everyday! Kate with her Great Grandma(Oma in German) Rochell.
