DISNEYLAND 2009

So, I think this blog will just be a bunch of pictures, with some captions. Wait..that's what most of my posts are...

There is a reason it has taken me so long to do this post. I have a cabillion pictures, and I can't just pick and choose a couple. So, there is literally like 30 or 40. Can you handle it?

Ryker and Grandma Robbins eating at the Breakfast Buffet at Circus Circus in Vegas.

Kate at the buffet. Isn't she such a cutie?!

Ryker and dad at the M&M store in Vegas.

At the Coca-Cola store getting a picture with the Coca-Cola Bear. He kept petting my hair!

On to San Diego...The day before the Mud Run, we went to Sea World..can't miss that!! Waiting for the dolphin show to start.

Ryker, very intense watching Shamu.

They have these "polar bear caves" and Ryker absolutely loved them. We couldn't get him to leave. We walked away to look at some animals, and I heard Ryker "rrrrraaarrr", then a girl screamed...he was scaring people. :)

Mom and Ryker on one of the rides they now have at Sea World.

Kate playing in the water. She could have stayed there all day.

Shamu, flinging the trainer.

Isn't this a cool picture? I liked it, and I like how neither of them know of the danger lurking behind them! hahaha

This was our pool in San Diego...fancy eh? They had a Play Boy 'Girls of Golf' casting call going on one day at the pool...what are the chances? Really.

Enjoying the hot tub.

On the Balboa Pier, on our way to Ruby's Diner. Russ' mom suggested Ruby's Diner, and it was one of my favorite parts of the trip! So yummy! The best atmosphere ever! Out on a pier on the ocean! Can't get better than that. And, I don't know why my text is underlined, but I can't change it! AH!

Ryker and Dad at Ruby's. Ryker had done something to his nose that morning, so he had wanted a bandaid, incase your wondering. :)

Trying to get a good picture of the inside of Ruby's. None of my pictures do it justice, you just need to be there!

These were the awesome kids menu. You fold it into a plane, and then get to put stickers all over it!

On the pier, with Newport Beach in the background.

We took only a few minutes to let the kids touch the ocean. They were both scared of the waves coming in. I think if we would have stayed for an hour, the kids would have loved it. Kate loved picking up shells.

After the Mud Run and Sea World in San Diego, we drove up the coast to visit a little known place called Disneyland. Can I just say, I love Disneyland. I love it just as much as any kid. :) Here we go..

DISNEYLAND

On the Mark Twain boat.

In line waiting for the Pirates of the Caribbean.

I love this picture. :)

At the Rainforest Cafe.

I gave Ryker an onion ring, wanting him to eat out of his normal range of food. I came to find out, I had actually given him an Octopus tennacle. SORRY RYK! But once I found out, I needed to get a picture, so I gave him another one, since he liked the first.

Russ in Downtown Disney.

The "R" boys.

Ryker sporting his awesome Mickey sunglasses, at midnight.

I love this picture! Kate and Grandpa Robbins taking a stroll.

Home! And Pooped!

San Diego-Mud Run

Well well well. I think I should do some belated blogging... This summer we decided to go to the annual Camp Pendleton Mud Run in San Diego with Russ' brothers. San Diego is A.K.A. our favorite place to vacation. We went there on our honeymoon, and when Ryker was 2. So fun. So when we heard we could run in the mud in our favorite place to vacation, we signed up. We actually signed up back on January 2nd. Long time ago. So June took forever to get here! Anyway, so we finally got to go.

Here is Russ and I before the race. Yes, I am taller than Russ, didn't you know? :)
Russ, me (I have seen better pictures of myself, eek), Russ' brothers..Myrick and Greg before the race. The people in Kilts were Greg's friends that came also. This is one of the MANY MANY hills. Jealous aren't you? I know. Well, don't feel too bad, theres always next year!! :)

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of us in the mud pits, or lake, or mud hills, or rivers...etc, you get the idea. Russ' mom did take a picture of us afterwards all wet and muddy, but I don't have that picture yet. This race was my first organized race I've attended. Let me tell you, I am very out of shape. I thought I was out of shape before, really I did, but this race showed me how out of shape I actually am. I couldn't believe it. I have never felt so tired in my life. So on one hand, it showed me just how out of shape I am, but also showed me how much I could push myself to keep going. When I finished, it was a great feeling. We hope to be there next year to do it all again!

Bear Lake Memorial Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend we went up to Bear Lake with Russ' family. The kids absolutely love the cabin!

Sittin' Pretty

We went to the beach on Saturday, and NO ONE was there! If anyone goes to Bear Lake often, you'll know thats hardly ever the case if the weather is good. Seriously, it was our family, and one other car. I think maybe its because they are charging 7 bucks per vehicle now, so people are boycotting it? Who knows. Kate loved the beach, and loved the dog that was with the people next to us on the beach (ya, we had a whole vacant beach, and the only other car had to park within 50 yards of us), every 5 minutes we had to go chase her down. Ryker however, didn't like the beach much. He couldn't handle the sand/mud on his feet. He would come crying to me every five minutes about how he needed to clean his feet, then sit on a chair and pout. After two hours or so, he finally played a little, but still complained about the mud.

Beach Babe.

Quick, get through the water as fast as you can!

Ryker and dad going for a ride behind the 4-wheeler.

She loved climbing in and out of the chairs.

He liked the shovel, but notice how far away he has to hold it to dump the mud?

Fun Times.

Visiting Mom for Mothers Day

I took the kids to see my mom a couple weeks before Mothers Day while we were down in Salt Lake. When we first got there, I had Ryker hold the flowers, and as we got close I told him he could set them on her headstone...well we weren't close enough cause he ran up to another persons headstone and set them down. He was so proud of himself, and then wondered why I wanted him to move them. :) It is so hard to explain to Ryker what we are doing there. I try to explain it as best I can, but he just isn't old enough to understand. He kept thinking she was going to come out of the grave and start visiting with us. So one on hand, it was really sad that I can't explain death to him, and she couldn't "come out and talk to us", but on the other it was really sweet to see his innocence. It was a bitter sweet experience, but I love to take the kids there when I can.

Placing the flowers.

I tried to get a picture with both the kids, but Kate couldn't sit still.

I had Ryker take a picture of me and Kate at the grave, but as you can see, only Kate and I are in it. :)
