First.

Today Kate took her first "official" step. The last two days she has taken an "iffy" step..where she takes the step but then falls almost simultaneously. So I say official because this time she had control. She took a step and held her balance for another 5-10 seconds, then sat down. :) Russ' mom, Brenda, was laughing at us yesterday because I was explaining to her how we didn't know if we could count the step earlier that day and the day before or not, because how do you judge an official first step? She related my explanation of the first step, to football-"well now, did he have control of the ball on the play? Or--". Who knew a first step could be so hard to recognize?!? HaHa.

Me 'n' Michelle

Yesterday we piled in the Tribute and headed to Salt Lake to see Michelle at Primary Children's Hospital. Since her tummy is safely tucked in now, she is HOLDABLE! (I don't know if that a real word or not) I guess she's been 'holdable' for almost a week now, but I couldn't get down until yesterday. Let me tell you, she is the sweetest thing! I wanted to hold her all night...
