Moving Day

Tomorrow we will officially be moved into our new place. It is of course bittersweet. We have enjoyed our time living at Russ' parents house. We moved in when Ryker was a wee lad of only six months, they left on their mission when he turned one, six months before they came home we brought our sweet baby girl home here, and now we are moving a week before she turns one. I am a very sentimental person when it comes to moving, and we have made a lot of fun memories here. It will be great to be out on our own again and be able to get all of our decorations put out and all my kitchen stuff back from storage, etc etc. But we will really miss seeing Brenda and John-grandma and grandpa-mom and dad, everyday. They are the kindest, most thoughtful people I know. We cannot thank them enough for all they have done for us. The kids love seeing them everyday too, it will be an adjustment for them I am sure (especially since Ryker loves to yell for his grandma whenever he is mad at his mom-which is a lot). It has felt like home here and has been wonderful. But soon our new place will feel like home too. Also, we will be switching from out student ward to a family ward at the first of the year. We could stay in our student ward but have decided to move on. Ryker will start Primary this January (hopefully), and that will be a new great adventure for him. We can't wait to get settled in. Once we get put in order and get internet service (or internet access somewhere) I will be sure to post some pictures.

PiCs

I just thought I'd post a couple cute pics of the kids I've taken recently.

I absolutely LOVE this picture! Kate's smile can't get any bigger than this!

My Little Water Baby

Kate was so cuddly this day, she wouldn't stop cuddling her blanket and her dalmation. She would laugh or smile so big after every cuddle. She is so sweet.

This last week was actually a pretty challenging week as a mother. Ryker is a very strong willed little boy, and a lot of times stresses me out to no end. I am not really looking forward to another rough week, but I am hoping that I can keep my head up, keep my patience/temper, and continue trying to figure out how to best teach him. I try everyday to focus on all the cute things he does and says. He is the most observant little boy ever, he amazes me and he is always saying the funniest things. The other day Russ took him outback with him to rake the leaves. Ryker hasn't ever jumped in a pile of leaves, nor seen anyone jump in leaves (that I know of). So Russ gets a pile of leaves raked, and Ryker is just standing there staring at the pile and then says seriously, "Um, I need to step on those." and then jumps right in. The other week we were riding with my sister Heather in the car, and Ryker brought up his movie, The Rescuers Down Under. Heather asked, "What's that about?" Ryker thought for a minute, and then with his one-sided nose scrunch, and serious look, says, "Um, its like a movie." He may test our patience a lot, but he also makes us laugh a lot :).

This next weekend is also the weekend we were supposed to be moving, but we aren't so sure the other people have moved out yet...we'll see tomorrow if it'll be this weekend, I hope. It is supposed to SNOW Saturday and Sunday, with temps in the low 30's, so it might not make for a great move, but we'll see and we'll keep our fingers crossed.
